Ériu is the mythological goddess of the Tuatha Dé Danann who gave her name as both Éire and Erin, to the island of Ireland. Martina was drawn to the legend of how Ériu, as a Goddess of Sovereignty, became the embodiment of the land on which the Tuatha Dé Danann dwelt.
This eye-catching petite pendant is in a diadem like formation. Whereas ancient Celtic crowns were thin bands of gold called a mind, this gentle piece is open, it's surface etched, striated, carved to reflect a rugged coastline, enclosing a perfect circle, an empty space … until each piece is worn, whereupon the wearer, like Ériu is embodied within.
Visually striking yet liminal and delicate, this beautiful Ériu pendant comes alive with light creating playful auras and radiances next the skin when worn.
