Shipping to the United States
From 29th August 2025, all orders shipped to the United States are subject to customs duties, taxes, and administration fees. These charges are applied by US Customs and are the responsibility of the recipient. They are not included in the price you pay at checkout or in the shipping cost.
For parcels sent to the US, your email address will be included on the shipping label. This allows An Post, Ireland’s Postal Service, to contact you via email before the parcel leaves Ireland with a payment link for any administrative charges that must be paid. You are given five days to pay the charges; if payment is not made, the parcel cannot be sent. Please check your inbox and spam folder to ensure you don’t miss this email.
Your email is used solely for this purpose, to help ensure your order is delivered smoothly.
We recommend checking with your local customs office if you would like an estimate of potential charges before placing your order.

- Republic of Ireland: €7
- Northern Ireland, UK & European Union: €15
- Rest of World: €25
- Free shipping on all orders over €250
How Orders Are Shipped
All orders are shipped via An Post, Ireland’s state-owned postal service, using registered post. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email with a tracking number. You can track your order directly via the link in your email or on the An Post Parcel Tracking Track posts and parcels | Personal | An Post (please ensure there are no spaces when entering your tracking number).
Delivery Timeframes
Estimated delivery times for registered post are:
- Ireland: 1–3 working days
- Northern Ireland: 3–4 working days
- UK: 5–8 working days
- Europe: 8–12 working days
- Rest of World: 12–17 working days
Please note: These are guidelines from An Post and delivery may take longer during busy periods such as Christmas, Bank Holidays, or other peak seasons.
Lead Times for Bespoke & Custom Orders
Due to the handmade and bespoke nature of our jewellery:
- Ring purchases: up to 4 weeks before dispatch
- Personalised items: up to 4 weeks before dispatch
- Full commissions: up to 6 weeks before dispatch (lead time starts after deposit payment)
Please note that we are unable to offer refunds on rings or personalised items. Lead times for bespoke pieces will be discussed during your consultation with The Cat and The Moon.
Shipping Insurance
All orders include insurance through An Post at no extra cost. In the rare event of damage or loss during shipping, we will cover the insured return postage when issuing a refund. Please contact us before returning any damaged items.
