Sterling Silver Designer Pendant on 2 Bell Chain or Snake Chain

Sliogán in Irish translates as shell. Croí­ Sliogán is the shells heart-core. Sligo is the Shelly Place. It was the beloved landscape of poet W B Yeats, who on the grey pavements of London spoke of Sligo as "the deep hearts core".

This is the inspiration for our collection Croí­ Sliogán.

 

About the Artist

Jewellery designer, artist and founder of The Cat & The Moon, Martina Hamilton has been creating award-winning collections from her Sligo studio for over thirty years. Her work is inspired by the wild beauty of Ireland’s northwest coast—shaped by light, landscape and a deep sense of place.

Every design begins with her connection to the landscape. The movement of the tide, the texture of stone, the shifting light—all find quiet expression in her jewellery, handcrafted in precious metals and made to be worn, cherished and passed on.
