Ériu Collection - 9 Carat Hallmarked Solid Gold Stud Earrings by Martina Hamilton.

Ériu is the mythological goddess of the Tuatha Dé Danann who gave her name as both Éire and Erin, to the island of Ireland. Martina was drawn to the legend of how Ériu, as a Goddess of Sovereignty, became the embodiment of the land on which the Tuatha Dé Danann dwelt.

These eye-catching stud earrings are in a diadem and star-like formation with surfaces etched, striated, carved to reflect a rugged coastline, enclose a perfect circle, an empty space; until each piece is worn, whereupon the wearer, like Ériu is embodied within.

Visually striking yet liminal and delicate, this beautiful Ériu earrings comes alive with light creating playful auras and radiances next the skin when worn.

About the Artist

Jewellery designer, artist and founder of The Cat & The Moon, Martina Hamilton has been creating award-winning collections from her Sligo studio for over thirty years. Her work is inspired by the wild beauty of Ireland’s northwest coast—shaped by light, landscape and a deep sense of place.
