In Japan the Crane is a symbol of long life and peace. Each Bird is folded from a square of handmade and hand printed Japanese paper the same size as on the base. Comes packaged in its own presentation box which incorporates a swatch of the same paper that is used for the mobile. Simple assembly instructions included.

These beautifully crafted Japanese paper-craft cranes will bring a healthy and peaceful life for those who treasure them. Origami crane mobile is made in Killybegs, Co Donegal, Ireland.

Each one is made individually so patterns will vary from the actual picture but the dominant colour will be yellow.

About the Artist

Naomi Fleury started learning the art of Origami at the age of three from her Grandmother, Aunts & Uncle in Japan. They instilled in her the deep love of the traditional Japanese Arts that she retains to this day. When Naomi began living in Ireland she decided to use her skills in origami and paper working to produce beautiful creations all reflecting her Japanese background. And so Japanese Papercraft was born.

Each piece of Japanese Papercraft is completely hand made by Naomi in Killybegs, Co Donegal, Ireland, using traditional hand made and hand printed Japanese paper, which she imports from Japan. Much of her work takes hours, even days to complete as she measures, cuts and assembles all her complicated folds together to produce her stunning designs

Naomi is the first person living in Ireland to be awarded an origami teaching qualification from the Nippon Origami Association.
