Created from raw materials using age old traditional Celtic jewellery designs handed down through the generations.

The Harp Moon brooch is a beautiful example of what Kieran Cunningham does best as a designer. Informed by ornate Celtic influences, by timeless astral influences, by Ireland's renowned relationship with ancient traditional music forms, he combines all into a  minimalist design of outstanding beauty and simplicity.

About the Artist

Kieran Cunningham has worked in metal design since 1977 and is a true pioneer of iconic contemporary Celtic jewellery. Kieran has developed his strikingly unique range of handcrafted, modern Irish jewellery using techniques and tooling styles dating back to Irelands earliest known craft traditions.

"I use only a select range of hand-tools to create each piece so that you have a piece of jewellery to be proud of. The hand-chiseled scroll effects and shining hammered finishes are an age-old tradition of Celtic jewellery design. This has been passed down through the centuries. However now these skills are almost a thing of the past. Because of this I like to try to keep these traditions alive."

Each piece Kieran creates is original in design and individually handcrafted from raw materials including sterling silver, yellow gold, brass, copper and alpaca silver.
