Handmade Irish Designer Circle earrings in 9 Carat Gold by Martina Hamilton.

Inspired by a timeless love poem by W.B. Yeats, 'He wishes for the Cloths of Heaven', the Heaven Collection is a long standing favourite suite of designer jewellery from the Martina Hamilton studio.

Solid gold circles in hallmarked 9 carat gold are embossed with tiny icons of sun moon and stars, a wish for the heavens embroidered cloths which the poet wanted to capture from the heavens for his beloved.

The astral symbols themselves are inspired by 6000 year old Neolithic Irish stone carvings found at sites such as Newgrange, Knowth and Loughcrew.

Understated subtle styling, and contemporary romance is at the heart of this piece and it’s collection. Designed and made in the West of Ireland, with love and meaning that crosses all boundaries.

About the Artist

Jewellery designer, artist and founder of The Cat & The Moon, Martina Hamilton has been creating award-winning collections from her Sligo studio for over thirty years. Her work is inspired by the wild beauty of Ireland’s northwest coast—shaped by light, landscape and a deep sense of place.

Every design begins with her connection to the landscape. The movement of the tide, the texture of stone, the shifting light—all find quiet expression in her jewellery, handcrafted in precious metals and made to be worn, cherished and passed on.
