This handcrafted, stoneware ceramic mug is glazed beautifully to depict the Irish landscape. Each piece is handmade by Donna in her Dublin studio and the Lay of the Land collection is finished with bespoke bird and tree decals. This means no two pieces are identical. 

Approx 9cm tall, 9cm wide, 290ml volume.

Recommend hand washing.

About the Artist

From Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) to the mindful meditative creation of hand crafted stunning ceramics, pottery and jewellery. That is the career transition Donna Ironmonger undertook in recent years. Her ceramics hobby, a refuge from highly pressurised career, became her new career and way of life. The contrast could not be more pronounced.

"Ceramics by its nature is a very slow process and this is particularly prevalent in my designs. I hand make each and every item, and each piece is hand painted in three layers of up to eight different coloured glazes to create the unique glossy finish. My work takes three 24-hour kiln firings to complete – it’s a real labour of love!"

Donna's studio is located at the bottom of her garden in Malahide, Co. Dublin. "It’s a bright, peaceful place where I can watch the birds while I work, and it is close enough to my kitchen where the coffee pot is always on."
