Danu Ceramics the designer behind this cute necklace in mint and gold colours. The heart is thoughtfully handcrafted using porcelain, glazed, and finally, enhanced with genuine 22k gold lustre. The matte texture contrasts gorgeously with the polished gold.

The gold plated brass chain is durable and can easily be cleaned and maintained just by using ketchup or lemon juice. Each piece is handmade and will vary to the image shown, meaning every necklace is one of a kind. Danu specializes in handcrafted, designer ceramic home wares and jewellery made in Dublin, Ireland.

Stylish, Affordable and Made to last.

About the Artist

Ruth is the owner and maker of DANU since 2015. she graduated from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin in 2011 I've been based in Dublin, her whole life. She designs and creates each piece using a wide range of techniques like hand-building, glass fusion and slab-work. I love experimenting with different clays, glazes and materials, such as 22k gold, mother of pearl and glass. Each piece is unique.

Her inspiration comes from travel, nature and my home country of Ireland. Herself and her partner spend lots of time carefully styling each photo. They collect beautiful, unusual props when travelling from local craftspeople to use in photography - copper spoons from Lhasa, Tibet, pottery from Takayama, Japan, brassware and textiles from Varanasi, India and carvings from Flores, Indonesia. Ruth hopes when people browse the store they feel that they are going on a journey.

Her mission is to create small batch, affordable, quality pieces that will last. She believe that ethical craft can be easily attainable.
