Meab enamel earrings are unique explosions of Celtic inspired colour. They are wonderful for adding a dramatic dash of vibrancy to your favorite cloak or coat.

Each enamel piece is crafted using the same colors that you choose, but will be unique and slightly different due to the 'Open Fire' process that is used. It will be individual to you!

Each jewellery piece comes with its own story card explaining the inspiration behind the jewellery and picture of the 'open fire' enameling. These earrings have a diameter of 1.9cm and the highest quality hypoallergenic wires available and are very safe and kind to sensitive ears.

About the Artist

In the early 1960's, Meab O'Neil was on a visit to Copenhagen, where she saw the process of ‘Open fire’ enameling. She was mesmerized by the colours and decided to start her own journey learning thsi craft. She came back to Ireland and famously began using recycled copper water cylinders as her base metal, developing her own skills and the signature style in jewellery making, that became Meab Enamels

Meab's daughter Clair learned the craft from her mother spending many evenings as a child observing her craft the jewellery in her workshop As a young woman she took on developing the business, driving around Ireland, calling to shops and seeing where there was a niche in the market. Of course people immediately loved the colours, appreciated the unique crafting process and probably the enthusiasm that Clair brought to the brand. Meab Enamels has gone from strength to strength since then. Clair extended the collection investing the same vibrant colours found in their enamels into their popular silk scarf collection.

Today Clair and her partner Charlie, who has taken on the technical mantle of firing all the jewellery collections, continue the tradition sparked by Meab more than 60 years ago.
