About the Artist

Thomas Diem is a second generation designer and potter. Born in NYC but living in Ireland since he was a child, his first taste of pottery came in his own father’s studio. Having completed the DCCOI Pottery Skills Course and spent time perfecting his craft, Thomas established his own studio in 1997.

At diem pottery, they believe that the objects used have a great effect on our lives. They design and create by hand, pieces that combine traditional skills with a contemporary design edge. Thomas' and the teams aim is to enhance people’s daily lives by creating functional yet beautiful things.
