Raku ceramic puffin created by Julian Smith of Kinsale. Handcrafted using the 16th-century Raku technique, originating in Japan.
Each piece is rapidly fired and then removed from the kiln while glowing red hot, creating the distinctive crackle effect. Stunning, one-of-a-kind colours develop when the piece is placed in a container with combustible materials, completing the Raku firing process.
This charming puffin can be hung on a wall, bringing a touch of colour and character to any room.
Due to the nature of the Raku firing process, colours and finishes may vary slightly from those shown, making every piece truly unique.
