Handmade 9 carat hallmarked petite yellow gold stud earrings

Inspired by the shimmer of sunlight light in rock pools and tidal eddies, I endeavour to encapsulate fleeting moments of reflection for the eye, and for heart and mind in these yellow gold delicate stud earrings.

The impulse is underpinned by lines from the poem by W B Yeats called 'He wishes for the Cloths of Heaven' where the poet grapples with purity and transience of 'golden and silver light / The blue and the dim and the dark cloths / Of night and light and the half-light' as a gift for his beloved.

About the Artist

Jewellery designer, artist and founder of The Cat & The Moon, Martina Hamilton has been creating award-winning collections from her Sligo studio for over thirty years. Her work is inspired by the wild beauty of Ireland’s northwest coast—shaped by light, landscape and a deep sense of place.
