Irish handmade necklace in hallmarked solid gold by Martina Hamilton

Sligo - Sligeach in Irish - means the shelly place. This piece is inspired by the waves rolling ashore on a Sligo beach, by the gentle curve of tide edging up the strand, burnished to reflect the soft texture of Atlantic soaked sands, by the liquid frill and curves of abandoned shells.

About the Artist

Jewellery designer, artist and founder of The Cat & The Moon, Martina Hamilton has been creating award-winning collections from her Sligo studio for over thirty years. Her work is inspired by the wild beauty of Ireland’s northwest coast—shaped by light, landscape and a deep sense of place.
