Sculptural, bold, and full of movement, the Tonnta Hoops are designed to make an impression. Handcrafted from polymer clay in Co. Wicklow, each pair is inspired by the flowing rhythm of the waves — tonnta, the Irish word for waves — bringing a sense of energy and motion to a structured, contemporary form.

Finished in a playful, soft purple, these statement hoops balance strong shape with a tactile surface that adds depth and character. The result is a design that feels both powerful and fluid, echoing the natural movement that inspired them.

About the Artist

Culu Design is an Irish jewellery design studio established by Louise O'Hara. Based in County Wicklow, Culu creates modern, colourful and eclectic handmade jewellery .

Culu is the Irish word for 'retreat’, which, in a sense, is how the project originated when Louise retreated from corporate working career and life, to her crafting roots and jewellery training, creating a retreat for creativity and the senses.

Louise has been making polymer clay and beaded jewellery for over twenty years, "driven by my love of colour, an out of control earring obsession and a desperate need to create."

Each piece from the Culu studio is thoughtfully designed and handmade by Louise, in her home studio. It means that no two pieces are the same, so these are a truly unique and beautiful gift, either to a loved one, or to yourself!
