Stunning handcrafted modern Irish jewellery from Kieran Cunningham in County Wicklow. 

Created from raw materials using age old traditional Celtic jewellery designs handed down through the generations.

The triple spiral or triskele is a Celtic and pre-Celtic symbol found on a number of Irish historical sites such as Newgrange, scholars believe the spirals represent the cycle of life, death and rebirth.  

This Celtic Triskele Brooch incorporates a multitude of traditional jewellery making techniques Kieran Cunningham is renowned for, combining Alpaca Silver with Brass and Copper to create a stunning piece of jewellery.

About the Artist

Kieran Cunningham has worked in metal design since 1977 and is a true pioneer of iconic contemporary Celtic jewellery. Kieran has developed his strikingly unique range of handcrafted, modern Irish jewellery using techniques and tooling styles dating back to Irelands earliest known craft traditions.

"I use only a select range of hand-tools to create each piece so that you have a piece of jewellery to be proud of. The hand-chiseled scroll effects and shining hammered finishes are an age-old tradition of Celtic jewellery design. This has been passed down through the centuries. However now these skills are almost a thing of the past. Because of this I like to try to keep these traditions alive."

Each piece Kieran creates is original in design and individually handcrafted from raw materials including sterling silver, yellow gold, brass, copper and alpaca silver.
