These stoneware ceramic Angels are the creative work of Michelle Butler. Celtic influences ripple through each design which is handcrafted using a textured stoneware clay, resulting in an organic feel to each hand made piece and finished with rich metallic details. With a heart as decoration on the front and space for a tealight at the back.

 

About the Artist

Michelle, a graduate of the Falmouth School of Art has been designing and producing her unique brand of Irish ceramics since December 1998.

Michelle's unique style embodies and reconciles the influences of primitive Celtic art with contemporary designs and forms. All her pieces are hand crafted from a textured stoneware clay. Her signature finish of metallic oxide adds both depth and lustre, whilst the use of a variety of glazes adds to the pattern relief and overall effect, creating ideal ceramic giftware items.

She started her business in Omagh Enterprise Centre, then in 2005, established Sperrin Ceramics Studio in the refurbished Stone Barn at her home, nestling in the shelter of the Sperrin Mountains, just north of Omagh, County Tyrone.
