These stunning mugs by Mud Ireland pay homage to the Wild Atlantic Way route along the West Coast of Ireland. Their inspiration comes from  the compelling Atlantic tides and storms sculpting an estoric landscape. A lush intersection between land and sea, with stunning vistas from the Colossal Cliffs of Moher to the mystical Bays of Donegal.  With a dark Atlantic blue glaze, crashing through Teal and Seafoam White onto a bare Donegal Speckle clay, a tactile memory of Ireland’s coarse, golden sand.

Please note : each mug is handcrafted, making each piece unique! They are handcrafted in Ireland and dishwasher safe.

About the Artist

Mud Ireland's team include Josh Lyness, a talented potter, and Holly Lyness the Sale Manager. With Her passion, belief and creativity, Holly has been instrumental in helping grow their business from the very beginning. Craftsman come Scientist, Josh has spent years honing his skills and knowledge of the ceramics industry. Now a master of the craft, you will find Josh’s signature on the bottom of all our beautiful pots. Mud Ireland Pottery is dedicated to quality, beauty, and function.

Josh is in charge of creating designs and mentoring his team of talented apprentice potters. It all starts with the MUD, locally sourced, quality clays that are carefully selected for beauty & durability. They use a range of clays for their designs, local Donegal Speckle Clay and a pure white, Ming Porcelain being their favourites.

Most designs derive from "Irish Inspirations" by the people and places of Ireland. Our most popular design The Wild Atlantic Way Collection, is inspired my Ireland's rugged West Coast. The glazing is an important part of the design and is the result of many hundreds of Glaze Tests.
