Romantic and classic long standing favourite from the Martina Hamilton Jewellery design studio in hallmarked solid 9 carat gold.

'Sometimes a design presents itself to you finished and complete. You recognise you can't improve on nature, and you shouldn't even try. And the Wild Irish Rose means so much to people just the way it is. So I had very little to do with this collection except to figure out how to portray the delicate structure of a wild Irish rose in precious metal. I found the softness of the petal structure could be captured immediately, with folds and by cutting ripples as texture into the surface. The centre is more about applying fragments and daubs of solid gold, these drew the eye into the heart of the piece much in the way the wild rose does when it offers itself from the brambles and blackthorn hedgerows around any Irish lane in the summer.'

About the Artist

Jewellery designer, artist and founder of The Cat & The Moon, Martina Hamilton has been creating award-winning collections from her Sligo studio for over thirty years. Her work is inspired by the wild beauty of Ireland’s northwest coast—shaped by light, landscape and a deep sense of place.
